Does Being a Lesbian Make Me Less Spiritual?
Many people, especially those who are very religious in the traditional sense, consider it a “sin” to be lesbian; and to them, if you’re a lesbian, there’s no way you can be a spiritual person. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Spirituality has nothing to do with your sexuality. Spirituality comes from your heart [...] Religion | Lez Get Real
Sexthics, or Why I Can’t Go Tell it on the Mountain Top
Mom, I know you're reading this.
Don't worry everyone – you can keep reading. This isn't some syrupy son-to-mother ode about how much I love my mother and how wonderful she has been over the years, from helping me come to terms with my queer identity when I was a self-loathing Evangelical Christian to working multiple jobs to support my siblings and I. I've done that many times over and I needn't embarrass her with yet another public account of my cloyingly clichéd "my mother is my hero" bit.
Instead, I’d like to embarrass her by talking about my sex life. Religion | The New Gay
A Ripe Idea: Men's Underwear Going Bananas
The aussieBum company, makers of men's underwear, has created a new line of men's undies that is made from eco-friendly banana fibre. The underwear is 27% banana fibre, 64% cotton and nine percent lycra. What's the "appeal" of underwear made from banana fibre? Along with being an ecologically friendly way to go, it's lightweight, offers good absorption of moisture and creates a fine lustrous finish. Aussiebum founder Sean Ashby said, "We are truly proud of our contribution to the development... Shopping | UndiesDrawer

Rep. Eric Massa Had More Than Tickle Fights With His Navy Subordinates. He Preyed On Them
Ever since his resignation just two days ago, we've learned oh so much about former Rep. Eric Massa, the New York Democrat. What started as his use of "salty language" and "hair tussling" around male aides has turned into "tickle fights" and allegations of physical harassment dating back at least a year. The OutMusic Awards Were an Absolute Disaster, And Yet Logo Still Aired Them on Actual Television
In December we wondered aloud about the OutMusic Awards, some ragtag ceremony put together in New York City that gives out awards like Outstanding Choral Song, of which the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus scored all five nominations. But little did we know just how ragtag this soiree was. So disjointed, uncoordinated, and mismanaged, Michael [...] Entertainment | Queerty

I liked the L Word Book, and not in a hipster ironic way. I really really liked it.
I am going to confess a deep dark secret to you now - I bought the L Word Book by Jennifer Beals. Buying this book makes me feel like the biggest dork ever, like the kind of person who might scribble "Tibette Forever" on her notebook in study hall. I justified it by saying it was for charity and that I needed to keep up with lesbo pop culture but, really, I just wanted to see pretty pictures of pretty people. Do you want to know what's in the book? Do you want some tidbits? You know you do because lesbians love those L Word actresses. Entertainment | Grace the Spot
Les Inséparables
The first movie Guillermo and I ever watched together was The Birds. We sat on folding chairs in his kitchen, long before it would ever be our kitchen. At the beginning, the main character (played by the epic Tippi Hedren) is in a pet shop buying lovebirds. I’d heard about these birds throughout my life, usually referring to me and a girl on the playground, but now realized I’d never actually seen what they look like. They’re multicolored, no taller than the average pigeon, and can only be sold in pairs. The shopkeeper tells Tippi what the French call them: les inséparables. And as she did, Guillermo took hold of my hand and smiled. I counted each tattoo going up his arm, and down the other, and the two I knew were inside his shirt on each shoulder. We each have exactly seven. Entertainment | The New Gay

I guess I could kind of take this as some kind acknowledgement of the article I wrote the other day in one way or another. The most recent BlackBerry Connection Newsletter which was sent out yesterday makes note of two new apps coming for Business users. I'm not so sure Twitter qualifies as a tool for business users specifically, but it was on the list as well as Linked In for BlackBerry.
The newsletter states that both apps will be arriving on the BlackBerry platform soon and offers up links on how to be informed of each applications release. While the newsletter certainly doesn't offer much up in the way of a timeline, it does offer me that slight hope we'll see both arrive soon. But I guess we are stuck waiting to find out what Research In Motion's definition of "soon" is. For me, it means today or tomorrow. I'd even go so far as to say next week. Anything beyond that you are no longer in the "soon" timeline.
Google's certainly made some enterprise inroads with Google Apps, and now it's opened the door for other cloud-based service providers to build on that success: it's launching Google Apps Marketplace to sell third-party web apps that integrate with the Apps suite. The apps are sold as a subscription, with both monthly and annual pricing, and the billing is all handled by Google. Since it's all targeted at the enterprise, the apps themselves are pretty dry -- we're talking notables like Intuit Online Payroll, eFax, and TripIt -- but it's pretty easy to see how Google could build a similar consumer-level marketplace into Gmail and Google Calendar sometime in the future. And then? Skynet. Video after the break.

Civil partnerships in the United Kingdom, granted under the Civil Partnership Act 2004, gives same-sex couples rights and responsibilities identical to civil marriage.
I don't care what they call it - marriage, union, domestic partnership, whatever, as long as we get our rights! Why is the US taking so long to make these advancements? Do they realize how much money could be made off the gays? Plus, so many gay non-US residents would f...

According to a swiftly removed Facebook page, the social networking giant may partner with Eventbrite to introduce monetized events. That means you can charge an entry fee to the events you organize, and Facebook and Eventbrite can both take a cut.
Some users stumbled onto facebook.eventbrite.com--don't bother going there now, it's been taken down, but before it was removed, Techcrunch snagged this screenshot. It says:
Collect Money for Your Event With Eventbrite
Eventbrite is partnering with Facebook to enable you to collect money for your event. Your attendees pay with credit card and Eventbrite collects the money on your behalf and sends you a check when your event is over. We charge a small service fee for every ticket sold. 5.5% + $.99c, which attendees pay, costing you nothing.
Eventbrite has helped event organizers around the world sell over 10 million tickets. We're excited to help you sell your and put some delightful cash in your pocket.
Facebook had previously used Eventbrite as the ticket service for its F8 developer conference, but this is a totally different beast. Events are one of Facebook's most useful and most used tools, and this is a perfect way to turn that popularity into some cash flow.
Of course, very few events on Facebook actually charge admission, but that might actually change if venues and organizers see a way to do it. Eventbrite apparently also allows for free tickets without charge, though I don't really understand why you'd bother using Eventbrite for a free event at all. Regardless, it's a great idea that could result in a huge amount of money for Facebook, Eventbrite, and anyone who organizes paid events.
Neither Eventbrite nor Facebook offered a comment on the leaked page, but neither ruled it out, either--both said there was no comment "at this time," and any idea that makes this much sense (and potential cash) won't stay quiet for long. As of now, however, this is still an unconfirmed rumor, albeit a likely one.
